JUDGING:

• news value,
• emotional impact,
• photographic quality (factors such as composition, perspective, exposure, and lighting that evidence technical skill in taking and Acceptable Editing of the photograph),
• the clarity, accuracy, and impact of their accompanying description.

RESTRICTIONS:

• You may not enter or win if you are a professional photographer. WeSay.com considers you to be a professional photographer if you make more than 50 percent of your income from photography.
• Maximum 5 photos.
• You may not enter images that combine the elements of more than one photograph, nor can you enter photographs that have been digitally altered in any way. HOWEVER, cropping and minor burning, dodging, and color correction is acceptable.
• You may not enter a photograph or description that contains any nudity, obscenity, defamatory statements, or other offensive or objectionable content.
• Photos taken under conditions where a person has a reasonable expectation of privacy, such as in their home, hospitals, jails, group residences, nursing homes, school or private residences, are generally not permissible unless the person’s consent has been obtained.

YOUR RIGHTS AS A PHOTOGRAPHER:

• By entering the competition, you will be granting WeSay.com a royalty free, worldwide nonexclusive, nonterminable, perpetual license to display your photograph on WeSay.com.  However, you retain ownership of the photograph.
