What has Gitzo brought us in 2009?
Here is a quick look in the 2009 catalogue:

Special collections
The first thing that you will notice are the two new special collections: Ocean and Vintage.
Ocean traveler tripod: GK1581OT
The Ocean traveler collection is completely NEW and was first revealed at Photokina in 2008. So far it includes only one tripod, GK1581OT:

This tripod was designed for anyone shooting in (to tripod) difficult environments: rich and salty water, sand, mud and high humidity levels. To resist such conditions, the tripod has casting made of uncoated stainless steel, as well as the ocean lock that minimizes the amount of water and debris that could enter the tubes and the locking mechanisms.
Vintage collections: 2 NEW tripods!
This collection was designed for anyone with nostalgia for the golden ages of photography: tripods have old-style-feel (with the new-age features) and come with a stylish vintage bag.
The collection consists of two tripods which both come in the form of kits (i.e. with the head):
